Practicing Contemplative Leadership: Lessons Learned as an Academic Leader |
On Friday, March 16h, join us for a presentation by Dr. Ben Streetman, Dean of the UT College of Engineering on the topic: Practicing Contemplative Leadership: Lessons Learned as an Academic Leader.
Our mission is to elevate the role of leadership in the lives of the citizens of Central Texas; to focus on the vitality and necessity of regional leadership capital; and to serve others through the process of encouraging individuals to grow, prosper and make a significant difference through the practice of leadership skills.
Ben Streetman is Dean of the College of Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin, and Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He holds the Dula D. Cockrell Centennial Chair in Engineering. He was the founding Director of UTs Microelectronics Research Center
He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He has received numerous awards, including the Education Medal and the van der Ziel Medal from IEEE and the Terman Medal from the American Society for Engineering Education.
