On Friday, April 20th , join us for a presentation by Johnnie Johnson on the topic: “Leadership and Peak Performance.”

Our mission is to elevate the role of leadership in the lives of the citizens of Central Texas; to focus on the vitality and necessity of regional leadership capital; and to serve others through the process of encouraging individuals to grow, prosper and make a significant difference through the practice of leadership skills.

Johnnie serves as President and CEO of Growing Tree Learning Center Inc., an international educational company also doing business as World Class Coaches. He is a well-known Author, Inspirational Speaker and Executive Peak Performance Coach. He spent nine years in real estate sales where he produced in excess of 100 transactions a year. He was honored during his real estate career as one of the famed Top Five Producing Agents in the Nation within the 25,000- plus agent chain of ERA. Johnnie is the author of SaysWho? and creator of the programs The Common Sense Steps to Selling Real Estate and Unleashing Your Potential. Johnnie is also co-creator, with his good friend and mentor Lou Tice of The Pacific Institute, of the internationally known video programs Investment in Excellence for Distinctive Growth and Pathways for Youth. The Pacific Institute offers products and services in 50 different countries and 15 different languages. Johnnie excelled for ten years in the National Football League as safety for the Los Angeles Rams. As the team's number one draft pick, he holds numerous club records including the longest interception returned for a touchdown (99 yards). During his NFL career, he was First Team All-NFL, Rams Defensive Player of the Year and named to the All-Time Rams Team.

At the University of Texas, he was a world class sprinter in track and two time consensus All-American in football. The Downtown Athletic Club of New York City, the same entity that awards the Hesiman Trophy, named him the Most Outstanding Defensive Back in the United States. Johnnie’s name was placed on the 2003 National Football Foundation & College Football Hall of Fame ballot. His brother Bobby also played pro football for the New Orleans Saints. Johnnie, who was born in La Grange, Texas, served as the Rams United Way Spokesperson during his NFL career. Johnnie and his wife Julie have three children – Kirk Anthony, Collin Wayne and Camille Marie.

The breakfast will be held from 7:30 until 9:00 a.m. on Friday, April 20th , at the Austin Club.  The Austin Club is located on the north side of 9th Street between Congress and Brazos.
