Norman has been helping people find new direction resulting from challenging experiences since 1985. His early work was in education and publishing during which time he was General Manager of the Webster Division of McGraw-Hill in Manchester, Missouri and Marketing Vice President of Steck-Vaughn Company in Austin.
As President of York Career Development, he and his partner Madeleine, have re-defined their business from an outplacement focus to one that emphasizes individual coaching to achieve high levels of executive performance and team development, a process to help clients increase profitability through the enhanced communication and interdependence of a team or staff.
Norman's special strength lies in guiding executives to re-career at mid-life, in intervening to help organizations save valuable executives and in coaching executives to become outstanding performers and effective leaders. His corporate management experience is invaluable as he develops trusting relationships with senior managers from a variety of industries, including banking, healthcare, high tech and service businesses.
He is an adjunct professor of management at Texas State UniversitySan Marcos and he has taught marketing management and small business management at both Concordia and St. Edwards Universities.
He holds a B.S. Degree in Education from Texas A&M University, an M.B.A. from Boston University and a Certificate from the Wholesale Executive Management Institute at Stanford University.

Madeleine spent ten years in the criminal justice field, serving both retail and medical institutions before finding her true placehelping people grow through painful transitions. For this work she has a genuine gift.
Her career development experience began in Austin with Reedie & Company in 1992 and continued with Reedie-York, where she was made a Vice President in 1994. During 1995 and 1996, she was a Vice President in the Houston office of Reedie & Company.
Madeleine has special expertise in working with people to help them become more effective communicators by understanding their own communication styles and the communication styles of others.
She holds a B.S. degree from the University of Texas at Arlington, and she has completed graduate work at St. Edwards University and at Southwest Texas State University, where she served as a graduate assistant. She also is a member of the American Society of Training and Development.
