Enhancing Strategic Intuition and Focused Creativity: The Basis Of Innovation - Dr. Hamilton Beazley
 

On Friday, September 21st, join us for a presentation by Dr. Hamilton Beazley of St Edward’s University on the topic: “Enhancing Strategic Intuition and Focused Creativity:  The Basis Of Innovation.” Dr. Beazley will discuss how to integrate intuition with logical thought to improve the quality of decision making and specific techniques for enhancing creativity, which is a structured process that can be learned.

Our mission is to elevate the role of leadership in the lives of the citizens of Central Texas; to focus on the vitality and necessity of regional leadership capital; and to serve others through the process of encouraging individuals to grow, prosper and make a significant difference through the practice of leadership skills.

Hamilton Beazley, Ph.D. is Scholar-in-Residence in the School of Management and Business at St. Edward’s University, Austin, Texas.  He received his B.A. degree in psychology from Yale University, his M.B.A. from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University, and his Ph.D. in organizational behavior from The George Washington University.

Prior to his academic career, Dr. Beazley served in a variety of executive positions in the American oil industry and as former president of two foundations (in New York City and Washington, D.C.).  He is the author of seven books and co-creator of a television series that aired on the BBC for the 1984-1987 seasons.  Dr. Beazley serves on the editorial boards of two professional journals and is a member or former member of multiple boards of directors. 

Dr. Beazley has appeared on Oprah Winfrey, NBC, CNN, CNBC, Fox, and a host of radio programs from coast to coast.  He has been quoted in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, Time Magazine, Fortune, Investor’s Business Daily, Los Angeles Times, USA Today, Christian Science Monitor, and numerous other newspapers and periodicals, and he has testified before committees of both the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate as an expert witness. 

The breakfast will be held from 7:30 until 9:00 a.m. on Friday, September 21st ,  at the Austin Club.  The Austin Club is located on the north side of 9th Street between Congress and Brazos.
