Moellers career spans more than 40 years of successful executive and entrepreneurial leadership in a variety of public and private companies, startups, non-profits, faith-based organizations and community advisory boards.
Currently, Dick serves as founding Principal of Enovate Enterprises, LLC, a consulting firm focused on assisting entrepreneurs, founders, companies and organizations to achieve their full potential with strategic planning, mentoring/coaching, market strategy, governance design and board services. Also, Dick is the founder and President of Water to Thrive, a faith based non-profit that works to bring fresh, safe water to rural Africa. In approximately two years, Water to Thrive has completed or started 130 projects providing water to over 60,000 rural Africans who have struggled for a clean drink of water. He serves on the Board of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, the nations largest fraternal organization, serving over 2.8 million members and managing $70+Billion of assets. He chairs the Human Resources and Executive Compensation Committee and is a member of the IT Technology and Succession Planning Committees.
Previously, Dick served as President and CEO of St. Davids Foundation and served as a member of the Board of Governors for the St. Davids HealthCare Partnership (5 area hospitals, 5,000+ employees) in Austin. St. David's devotes more than $80 million per year in care for the uninsured, elderly, ill and homeless through its hospitals, grants to community agencies and mobile dental clinics. He was instrumental in significantly increasing the Foundations impact in the community through programs and strategies that stressed community need, research, best practices, outcomes and fiscal stewardship.
Prior to joining St. Davids in September 2004, Dick was co-founder and partner of Verity Ventures and SSM Ventures since October 1998. Verity, a Texas focused venture capital firm specialized in early stage, technology companies. He served on the Board of Directors for eight start ups and assisted in successfully incubating four companies.
Prior to SSM, Dick joined VTEL as Chief Executive Officer, President and Director in October 1989 and became Chairman of the Board in March 1992. In April, 1992, He led VTEL through its initial public offering. In 1992 and 1998, he was selected by Ernst and Youngs as an Entrepreneur of the Year finalist for his contributions to VTEL.
Dick remains active in his community and church, serving on a number of board positions including the Lutheran Foundation of the Southwest, Water to Thrive and the Concordia University College of Business Board of Advisors.
Dick earned an MBA from Harvard University and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. Moeller received the Distinguished Alumni Award from University of Texas at Arlington in 1999 and the Beto Christian Leadership Award in 2009 from Concordia University Texas.
Again in 2010, an individual or an organization may sponsor a table of eight for $200. The sponsors table will be identified and the sponsor recognized. The sponsor may designate up to a maximum of eight who will attend, or elect not to specify individuals by name. In the latter case, the table will be filled by attendees who have registered individually.
